Join Alcedo Care Lancaster as a Complex Care Assistant, with opportunities available across Lancaster, Morecambe, Heysham and surrounding North Lancashire areas.

Excellent rates of pay: £14.75 - £15.75 per hour + Pension + Holiday Pay (equivalent to £16.53 to £17.65 per hour including holiday pay & pension)

Expected average hours: 20 to 40 hours plus per week. Shifts are flexible where possible and we also have opportunities for short shifts or 12-hour shifts days or nights.

To apply, you must have:

  • At least three months’ care experience in a UK care setting or through regularly supporting a family member
  • A caring, patient and reliable approach
  • Confidence supporting someone with their daily routines and independence
  • A willingness to complete all required client-specific training
  • Previous experience supporting someone with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) would be highly beneficial, although applicants with strong care experience and the right values are also encouraged to apply.

About the role:

As a Complex Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred support to individuals with more advanced care needs. For this package, your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting a client living with an Acquired Brain Injury
  • Assisting with personal care and daily routines
  • Preparing meals and supporting with household tasks
  • Helping with grocery shopping and other errands
  • Supporting access to the local community
  • Accompanying the client when using public transport
  • Supporting attendance and participation at university
  • Encouraging involvement in social and community activities
  • Spending meaningful time with the client and supporting weekend activities
  • Promoting choice, confidence and independence
  • Following the client’s care plan and recording support accurately
