An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior / Principal Structural Engineer to join an employee-owned, forward-thinking Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy based in Leeds. Operating at the forefront of the built environment, this practice delivers high-quality consultancy services across both public and commercial sectors.
Due to sustained growth and an expanding client base, we are seeking an experienced Senior / Principal Structural Engineer who is ready to add real value to projects and play a key role in shaping the future leadership of the business. This position offers a genuine pathway to senior management or Director level for ambitious, motivated individuals looking for long-term career progression within a progressive consultancy.
The Role
- Lead and deliver complex building structures projects across the UK and mainland Europe
- Manage multi-disciplinary projects from concept through to completion
- Coordinate and mentor project engineers, graduates, and technicians
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
- Contribute to business development, networking, and external promotion of the consultancy
- Demonstrate strong leadership with a proactive, “can-do” approach
Requirements
- Chartered or Incorporated Structural Engineer (or approaching status)
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience delivering building structures projects
- Proven track record on projects up to £75m construction value
- Strong design capability with experience using TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, Fastrack Portal Frame, CADS Wall Panel, P-Frame, and MasterSeries Retaining Wall
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary consultancy
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Full UK driving licence
