Associate Director – Commercial Property Management Location: Birmingham Salary: £60,000–£65,000 + excellent benefits Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 Days in office Essential: MRICS qualified The opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Surveyor to join a leading commercial property management team in Birmingham as an Associate Director. Working alongside a Senior Director and Director, you will manage a portfolio of commercial properties for major clients, including UK institutions, property companies and overseas investors. You will take immediate ownership of your own clients and buildings while supporting the wider team, contributing to business development and helping grow the department’s fee income. You will work closely with an established support network of facilities managers, building managers, client accountants and helpdesk professionals, as well as colleagues across lease advisory, agency, building consultancy and investment. Key responsibilities Managing your own portfolio of commercial properties and client relationships Delivering a high-quality, proactive property management service Supporting the management and development of junior team members Preparing reports and attending regular client and occupier meetings Managing lease and tenancy schedules, lease events and occupier applications Liaising with clients, solicitors, tenants and other professional advisers Monitoring service charge expenditure and assisting with annual budgets and reconciliations Overseeing rent collection, arrears recovery and invoice approvals Managing licences, property onboarding and internal systems Supporting due diligence for property acquisitions and disposals Identifying opportunities for new business and cross-selling wider services Contributing positively to team and departmental meetings About you To be considered, you must: Be MRICS qualified Hold a relevant degree-level qualification Have proven commercial property management experience Have experience managing office assets and working directly with clients Possess strong landlord and tenant knowledge Be confident managing lease events, rent reviews, expiries and occupier applications Understand office market trends and changing workspace requirements Have a sound knowledge of property management accounts, including service charges, statements of account and arrears recovery Have experience managing or supporting junior colleagues Be commercially minded, organised and confident building long-term client relationships What’s on offer Salary of £60,000–£65,000 Excellent company benefits Hybrid working, with three days in the Birmingham office and two days from home Exposure to major commercial clients and high-quality assets A clear opportunity to take ownership, develop your leadership experience and progress within an established property management team
