Albus Arts & Design is an art education studio specialising in portfolio-building and creative exploration for young learners. We are currently looking for a Part-Time Fashion Teacher to join our growing teaching team. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children and is passionate about introducing fashion, textiles, and creative thinking in a fun, age-appropriate way.

Role Overview

You will be teaching children aged 7–13, guiding them through hands-on fashion and textile activities such as:

  • Fashion illustration & collage
  • Fabric manipulation and basic textile techniques
  • Creative embroidery, weaving, dyeing, and surface design
  • Simple garment-making or wearable craft projects

Lessons focus on creativity, exploration, and confidence-building, rather than technical perfection.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging, structured fashion lessons for junior students
  • Prepare lesson materials and simple demonstrations
  • Guide students patiently through creative processes
  • Encourage self-expression and creative thinking
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment
  • Provide brief feedback to parents or the Albus team when needed

Requirements

  • Background in Fashion Design or Textiles Design
  • Experience teaching children (formal or informal teaching experience is welcome)
  • Patient, warm, and able to communicate clearly with young learners
  • Comfortable working with hands-on materials and craft-based activities
  • Responsible, punctual, and professional
  • Experience with children’s art or fashion education is a strong plus
