A highly regarded, independent medical communications agency is looking to hire a Medical Writer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career writer to develop their skills in a supportive, scientifically rigorous, and collaborative environment.

Working across a range of therapy areas, you will support the development of publications, medical education materials, and scientific content for global pharmaceutical clients.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality scientific content for publications, congress materials, and medical education projects
  • Translate complex scientific data into clear, accurate, and engaging materials for healthcare professional audiences
  • Support publication planning and execution, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide decks
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including account managers and senior writers
  • Ensure all content aligns with client objectives, scientific accuracy, and regulatory standards
Requirements:
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a medical communications agency (essential)
  • Hands-on experience supporting publications projects (essential)
  • Life sciences degree (MSc or PhD preferred, but not essential)
  • Strong scientific writing and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work onsite in Oxford 1–2 days per week
