A specialist, independent medical communications agency is entering an exciting period of growth and is looking to appoint a Scientific Director to join its senior team.

  • PhD/MD preferred
  • Significant experience within a medical communications agency
  • Strong experience across medical affairs and/or scientific communications
  • Proven ability to develop and lead scientific strategy rather than simply execute individual deliverables
  • Experience managing senior client relationships and leading strategic discussions
  • Experience contributing to pitches, proposals and business development
  • Strong commercial awareness, including understanding of scopes, budgets and resourcing
  • Excellent understanding of relevant industry codes, including ABPI, EFPIA and GPP
  • Experience mentoring, coaching or managing scientific/medical writing teams
  • Excellent communication skills and the credibility to engage confidently with senior clients and scientific experts
