Account Manager | Medical Communications – Commercial
London or remote

We are seeking experienced Senior Account Executives and Account Managers to lead and deliver commercial projects for life sciences clients. In this role, you will manage end-to-end project delivery—from strategy through execution—in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams (medical writers, creative, digital, regulatory). You’ll be the primary client-facing contact for commercial initiatives, ensuring science-driven campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as lead client contact for commercial / promotional / brand projects, managing relationships and client expectations.
- Translate scientific and strategic briefs into clear project plans, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
- Oversee campaign development across channels (digital, print, social, video, events), coordinating internal teams (creative, medical, digital).
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, promotional codes, and internal quality standards.
- Monitor project performance metrics, ROI, and report outcomes to stakeholders.
- Identify upsell / growth opportunities within client accounts and support development of proposals/RFPs.
- Mentor and guide more junior account staff in project execution and client engagement.
Candidate Profile & Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years’ experience in healthcare, pharma, medical communications, or agency environment
- Proven track record in managing commercial / promotional / brand campaigns in regulated environments
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Excellent stakeholder management and client presentation skills
- Comfortable digesting scientific / technical content and collaborating with medical experts
- Commercial acumen with ability to budget, forecast, and deliver projects profitably
