A growing principal contractor with a strong reputation in the façade remediation and recladding sector is looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join its expanding team. With a turnover of £20m and a robust, secured pipeline of nationwide projects, this business has quickly established itself as a trusted name in delivering critical safety-led façade solutions. The Role
This is a senior position, taking full oversight of the design function across multiple façade remediation projects. Working closely with the Pre-Construction Director, you will lead and manage the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and coordination at every stage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full management of the design process and BSR Gateway requirements across multiple projects
- Leading and coordinating the internal design team and external consultants, including structural engineers
- Overseeing design development from concept, pre-construction, and detailed design through to handover
- Ensuring all designs meet current building safety regulations, compliance standards, and buildability requirements
- Working across multiple projects nationwide at various stages of delivery
- Supporting pre-construction activities, tenders, and technical submissions
About You
- Proven experience as a Design Manager within the façades / cladding remediation sector
- Strong technical understanding of façade systems and building safety / BSR processes
- Stable career background within the façades industry
- Confident managing multiple stakeholders, projects, and design outputs
- A hands-on, solutions-focused approach with strong leadership capability
