This has created an excellent opportunity for an experienced project leader to oversee the delivery of a large, complex, multi-phase scheme with an estimated programme of approximately three years.

The Role

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you'll take full operational responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, overseeing programme, quality, commercial performance and health & safety from mobilisation through to completion.

The project comprises extensive strip-out, structural alterations, internal fit-out and external façade refurbishment, requiring close coordination between multiple disciplines, subcontractors and the client team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of a large, complex multi-phase refurbishment project.
  • Manage detailed construction programmes, sequencing and subcontractor coordination.
  • Oversee strip-out, structural, internal fit-out and external façade packages.
  • Work closely with the design team to resolve technical issues and maintain programme.
  • Manage commercial performance alongside the Quantity Surveying team, including variations and subcontractor management.
  • Build strong relationships with the client, consultants and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the highest standards of health & safety, quality and programme performance throughout delivery.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background delivering complex refurbishment projects involving both internal and external construction packages.

You'll ideally have

  • A main contractor background or significant experience delivering complex refurbishment schemes.
  • Strong residential refurbishment experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex programmes and multiple subcontractors.
  • A commercially aware approach with experience working alongside commercial teams.
  • Strong client-facing, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working closely with design teams throughout project delivery.

You'll be supported on site by dedicated External Managers, Internal Fit-Out Managers, M&E Coordinators and specialist subcontractors, making previous experience leading multidisciplinary project teams essential.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing specialist contractor on a flagship project for one of its key national housing developer clients.

With a programme extending over the next three years, the role offers long-term stability, significant responsibility and the opportunity to lead one of the company's most prestigious projects
