We are working with a well-established building restoration contractor specialising in Grade I and Grade II listed buildings across Central London. Due to a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee heavy-duty façade and stone restoration projects.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of complex heritage restoration projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest conservation standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing site activities on listed building restoration projects
- Overseeing façade, stone, masonry, and structural repair works
- Coordinating specialist subcontractors and direct labour
- Ensuring works comply with conservation requirements, method statements, and specifications
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, and workmanship
- Liaising with project managers, surveyors, conservation officers, and clients
- Managing site records, progress reporting, and logistics in constrained Central London locations
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on Grade I or Grade II listed buildings
- Strong background in façade restoration, stonework, masonry, and heritage projects
- Comfortable managing complex, high-value restoration schemes
- Excellent understanding of heritage construction techniques and materials
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
