Rate: £240 – £275 per day (PAYE – open to PAYE only)

We are working with a well-established building restoration contractor specialising in Grade I and Grade II listed buildings across Central London. Due to a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee heavy-duty façade and stone restoration projects.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of complex heritage restoration projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest conservation standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing site activities on listed building restoration projects
  • Overseeing façade, stone, masonry, and structural repair works
  • Coordinating specialist subcontractors and direct labour
  • Ensuring works comply with conservation requirements, method statements, and specifications
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, and workmanship
  • Liaising with project managers, surveyors, conservation officers, and clients
  • Managing site records, progress reporting, and logistics in constrained Central London locations

About You

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on Grade I or Grade II listed buildings
  • Strong background in façade restoration, stonework, masonry, and heritage projects
  • Comfortable managing complex, high-value restoration schemes
  • Excellent understanding of heritage construction techniques and materials
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
