Location: UK (Infrastructure Projects – Rail Division)

Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 + Package

We are working with a leading multi-disciplinary specialist subcontractor delivering high-quality cladding, metalwork, and interior fit-out packages across major UK infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth within their rail division, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take full responsibility for a key live project within their portfolio.

This role sits within the company’s infrastructure division, supporting long-term rail frameworks and complex station upgrades and refurbishments delivered in collaboration with Tier 1 main contractors.

Key Project Experience Includes:

  • Rail infrastructure schemes (essential)
  • Cladding and façade packages
  • Metalwork and architectural finishes
  • Interior fit-out works within station environments
  • Projects delivered for Tier 1 contractors including Murphy, Costain, and Skanska

Role Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of a major rail infrastructure project, potentially comprising up to 24 individual work packages/contracts
  • Act as the key client-facing representative on site, managing relationships with main contractors and stakeholders
  • Lead programme management across multiple workstreams, ensuring coordinated and efficient delivery
  • Oversee design coordination, technical submittals, and buildability input
  • Manage site delivery teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality execution
  • Monitor project progress against programme, identifying risks, delays, and mitigation strategies
  • Maintain strong commercial awareness, supporting cost control, variations, and change management
  • Ensure compliance with rail sector standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations
  • Drive delivery performance across all packages, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business opportunities

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience within rail infrastructure projects (essential)
  • Strong background in cladding, façades, metalwork, or interiors fit-out
  • Experience working with Tier 1 contractors such as Murphy, Costain, and Skanska
  • Strong understanding of construction programmes and project controls
  • Technically capable with good design coordination awareness
  • Commercially astute with strong contract understanding
  • Confident leader able to manage multiple workstreams and subcontract packages
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills
  • Delivery-focused with strong problem-solving ability
