Albion Recruitment is currently working with a specialist façade principal contractor who is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a £5m recladding scheme in Norwich. The business is a well-established contractor specialising in cladding remediation and façade projects across residential and public-sector buildings, delivering technically complex schemes with a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.

The Role

You will support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the management of façade installation and remediation works
  • Supervising subcontractors and site operatives
  • Supporting programme delivery and progress tracking
  • Monitoring quality and compliance with specifications
  • Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained on site
  • Assisting with site documentation, permits, and reports
  • Coordinating with the main contractor, consultants, and residents where required

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Site Engineer, Supervisor, or Assistant Site Manager role
  • Experience on façade, cladding, or external envelope projects preferred
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (or working towards)
  • Eagerness to develop into a full Site Manager role
