About the Role

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Producing high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods for restaurant service
  • Maintaining a consistent standard of presentation, taste, and portion control
  • Running and managing the pastry section during service
  • Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with menu development and seasonal changes
  • Preparing mise en place efficiently and effectively
  • Managing stock levels, rotation, and minimising waste
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Supporting service during busy periods to ensure smooth delivery
  • Contributing to a positive, respectful, and collaborative kitchen culture

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or strong experience as a Chef de Partie/Commis Chef with pastry focus
  • Passion for patisserie, baking, and dessert development
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of presentation
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude
  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred)
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings
