Kitchen Porter

The Albion Hotel, Freshwater are currently looking for Kitchen Porters to join our team in a busy, fast-paced kitchen — supporting the chefs and helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

This is an important role at the heart of the kitchen, and a great opportunity to be part of a team that’s building something new.

What the role involves

  • Keeping kitchen areas clean, organised and running efficiently
  • Washing dishes, pots and kitchen equipment
  • Supporting chefs with general kitchen tasks
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout
  • To ensure that the pot wash is clean and tidy and washing of all dishes, cutlery and pots and pans.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Hardworking and happy to get stuck in

  • Able to follow instructions and work at pace

No previous experience is essential — full training will be provided.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience, ideally in a contract catering related environment

Package Description

  • 40 – 48 Hours per week (or part-time options available)
  • Any 5 days out of 7 – shifts from 7am to late afternoon and late afternoon into evening.
  • Shifts are as necessary to support with business requirements
  • Full uniform supplied
  • Full training provided
  • Annual leave April – March 28 days per calendar year
