About the Role
Albion Gases LTD are looking to grow our technical team with the addition of a Cellar Gas Technician due to recent large contract wins with some of Scotland's largest hospitality groups. Based out of our yard in Dumbarton, Albion Gases are one of Scotland's largest and fastest growing suppliers of CO2 and mixed gas cylinders to some of the country's largest and most well-known pubs, clubs and hotels for use in beverage dispensing.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and upgrade cellar regulatory equipment, including blender units, whole gas systems and cages.
- Travel across Scotland to service clients, covering cities such as Glasgow, Ayrshire, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Fife, Stirling and Newcastle.
- Perform night calls and weekend cover for leaks and technical issues (1 weekend in 4).
- Deliver and replenish gas cylinders as required, handling cylinders weighing 25 kg each.
- Complete accurate paperwork and reporting to the office.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cellar technician with several years in the sector, and a good standard of driving.
- Full UK driving licence, no dangerous driving or drunk driving charges, and no more than 6 points.
- Fit, strong, able to perform heavy manual handling of 25 kg cylinders.
- Excellent communication skills; you will be the face of our company when visiting customers.
- Good numeracy and writing skills.
- Geographical knowledge of Scotland, able to cover Central Scotland and beyond.
- Experience in technical cellar installation and maintenance.
Benefits
- A salary range of £37,500 - £40,000 based on experience.
- 8.5 hours a day, 5 days a week (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM with a 30 minute lunch).
- 30 days holiday per year.
