An exceptional opportunity for an experienced Senior Loss Adjuster to join a leading insurance organisation, managing major and complex commercial claims across the UK. This is a fully remote position with regular regional travel and occasional overnight stays, depending on case location.
You’ll take a leading role in handling large and technically complex property losses, often exceeding £100,000 in value, involving material damage and business interruption (BI) claims - including flood, fire, and catastrophic events.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a diverse portfolio of major and complex commercial losses (typically £100k+).
- Conduct detailed investigations and deliver high-quality, professional adjusting services.
- Handle material damage and business interruption components with accuracy and technical expertise.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams (e.g. Liability, Casualty) and external stakeholders such as clients, local authorities, and emergency services.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), productivity targets, and quality standards.
- Provide expert technical advice and represent the business in high-value or high-profile claims.
- Utilise technology and digital tools to enhance efficiency and reporting.
- Act as an ambassador for the company, promoting best practice and consistent service delivery.
- Extensive experience managing complex commercial property claims and major losses.
- Ideally ACILA qualified (or equivalent), or working towards full accreditation.
- Strong understanding of FCA/FSA procedures and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of the loss adjusting process at senior level.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build client trust and credibility.
- Sound commercial and financial awareness with the ability to achieve agreed performance targets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to adapt to new technologies and claims systems.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally when required.
- A recognised and respected professional within the insurance adjusting sector.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering quality outcomes.
