An established international insurance and reinsurance broker is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join its Downstream Energy team. This role focuses on delivering specialist risk and insurance solutions for clients operating across refining, petrochemicals, terminals, storage, distribution, and related downstream energy sectors. The successful candidate will manage complex global accounts, support business development initiatives, and work closely with brokers, underwriters, and clients to structure and place sophisticated insurance programmes within the London and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of downstream energy clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and long-term relationship management.
- Coordinate the placement and servicing of complex downstream energy insurance programmes, including property damage, business interruption, liability, and associated specialty risks.
- Prepare market submissions, renewal strategies, underwriting presentations, and client documentation.
- Liaise with insurers and reinsurers in the London Market and international markets to negotiate competitive coverage terms and pricing.
- Provide technical guidance on policy wordings, coverage analysis, and claims support.
- Support senior brokers in client meetings, presentations, and strategic account planning.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with underwriters, clients, and key market stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, emerging risks, and industry developments impacting the downstream energy sector.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development initiatives.
