Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Precision Machining Training Specialist to lead and deliver hands-on technical training within a highly regulated engineering environment. The role is focused on training, coaching, and developing machining capability, ensuring personnel are competent, safety-focused, and aligned to operational requirements. This position is ideal for someone with strong machining experience who can clearly articulate processes and effectively teach others how to perform the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver practical, hands-on machining training aligned to programme requirements
- Train individuals on how to perform the role, not just theoretical understanding
- Develop and tailor training plans based on individual and programme needs
- Coach, mentor, and support learners in a workshop environment
- Challenge poor or unsafe behaviours and role expected company behaviours
- Ensure all training activities comply with health & safety standards
- Provide supervision within scope of responsibility
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure training outcomes are met
Essential Experience & Skills
- 2–3 years’ competent machining experience (dependent on individual skill level)
- Proficiency in Shop Mill & Shop Turn, manual milling and turning, hand fitting
- Strong engineering/manufacturing background
- Ability to clearly articulate machining processes and training requirements
- Proven ability to coach, teach
- Safety-focused and H&S compliant
- Demonstrated leadership
