We are supporting a large legal organisation with the appointment of a Knowledge Systems Lead / Manager to oversee and improve its legal knowledge, document management and content platforms. This role will suit someone who can sit between legal knowledge, digital systems and technology teams, ensuring platforms are effective, accessible, user-friendly and fit for future needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team responsible for managing legal knowledge systems, including document search platforms, content management tools and document automation technology.
  • Work with legal users, knowledge teams, content owners and digital specialists to improve system performance, adoption and usability.
  • Project manage system enhancements, identify gaps in the current technology estate and support future planning for knowledge and learning platforms.
  • Act as the link between legal, knowledge and digital teams, helping embed legal technology, automation and AI-related developments into existing systems.
  • Support user engagement, training, content governance, accessibility and information management standards.
  • Monitor developments in legal technology and knowledge management to ensure the organisation remains aligned with best practice.

Ideal Background

  • Experience in legal knowledge management, knowledge systems, legal technology, document management or content platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical users.
  • Experience with platforms such as SharePoint, WordPress, Sitecore, document automation tools or legal search platforms would be useful.
  • Team leadership, project management and user adoption experience would be highly beneficial.
