A leading Insurance Broker is recruiting for a Commercial Account Executive to develop and maintain an existing portfolio of commercial clients. This role will support the continued growth of the commercial insurance function within the office and play a key part in strengthening the firm’s presence across the region.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional with a background in Commercial Insurance to further develop their career within a well-established and progressive brokerage.
The Role
The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running, managing a varied portfolio of commercial policies across multiple sectors and premium sizes. You will work closely with Account Executives, supporting them in their day-to-day activities, while also managing your own clients from inception through to renewal. Ensuring high service standards, strong insurer relationships, and regulatory compliance will be central to the role.
The business offers clear and proven career progression, with many employees progressing into Account Executive, Team Leader, or Management positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
- Handle policies from inception, renewal, and mid-term adjustments through to claims support
- Support Account Executives with renewals, new business, and client servicing activities
- Liaise with insurers to obtain competitive terms and negotiate premiums and cover
- Ensure all documentation and compliance requirements are met in line with FCA regulations
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional products and services
- Maintain accurate client and policy records on internal systems
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within Commercial Insurance, ideally gained within an insurance brokerage
- Strong technical understanding of commercial insurance products and markets
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support senior colleagues
- Working towards professional qualifications (Cert CII minimum preferred; ACII desirable)
