We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Exec to join our Procurement team, based in our Bracknell office. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in procurement while gaining exposure to international supply chain operations, customs procedures, and supplier relationship management. You’ll play a key role in supporting the end-to-end purchasing process and ensuring goods flow efficiently across Europe. Building strong, effective relationships with our suppliers. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supply chain and wants to develop their career in procurement and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise and manage purchase orders with multiple suppliers
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods to meet customer and operational needs
- Liaise directly with suppliers across a range of industries and geographies
- Build, maintain, and strengthen supplier relationships to improve service levels and communication
- Monitor and manage stock levels, avoiding excess or shortage
- Coordinate the movement of goods across Europe, ensuring compliance with customs procedures and regulations
- Work collaboratively with internal departments including operations, sales, and finance to align purchasing activities with business needs
- Work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and handle time-sensitive issues effectively
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and efficiency
About You:
- Experience in purchasing or procurement within a high SKU company.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with external suppliers across a variety of levels
- Excellent Excel and data management skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proactive and eager to contribute to continuous improvement
- Able to prioritise and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of or willingness to learn about customs procedures and goods movement across Europe
