As the Brand Manager for this innovative brand, you will help create high-quality haircare products that empower individuals to express their unique style and confidence. As the Brand Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand's future, so require you to be a passionate, innovative and strategic individual to head up the team, supporting the founder to help drive growth. You will be responsible for developing and implementing brand, marketing and communication strategies linked to consumer/retail insights.
Responsibilities:
- Brand Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualisation to launch and beyond to bring innovative haircare products to market.
- Product Development: Lead collaboration to generate innovative product ideas aligned with market trends and customer preferences. Working with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Research and Development, and Design, to develop marketable products.
- Formulation and Technical Development: Work closely with R&D teams to develop high-quality formulations that align with brand objectives and regulatory standards.
- Brand Identity: Support in ensuring the brand's identity is consistent across all touchpoints, being the guardian of brand guidelines and standards.
- Budget Management: Analytical in your approach to develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve brand objectives.
- Consumer and Competitor Insights: Ability to interpret market research, surveys, and data analysis to gain insights into industry trends, digital developments, consumer preferences and behaviour. Use this data to make informed decisions and refine marketing strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, marketing, and operational teams, to align strategies and ensure brand consistency.
- Brand Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse brand performance metrics, sales data, and customer feedback to measure effectiveness of strategies; to adjust as needed.
- Collaboration: Work alongside the Marketing, Communications and Sales teams to develop the Trade Marketing Calendar to drive sales in line with the marketing budget.
- Product Management: Manage planograms and assortments for the different stands and displays, alongside the wider team. To build and propose price lists, product sales forecasts maximising sales and margin.
- Events: Assist and participate at internal and external company events.
- Sales: To collaborate when pitching to new customers, support in creating presentations to both internal teams and external parties to drive revenue growth for NPD.
Role requirements:
- A passion for haircare with proven experience in a similar role within the industry.
- Experienced Marketeer/Brand/Comms professional, with product development experience, ideally in “wet goods”.
- Strong understanding of consumer behaviour and market trends.
- A confident and compelling presenter to represent the brand with passion and enthusiasm when meeting our retail partners.
- Analytical, comfortable with interpreting market data to provide innovative recommendations and insights.
- Proficiency in marketing software and tools with exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Great verbal and written skills, with the confidence to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- It would be beneficial if you had previous experience working in partnership with key retailers in the UK and across Europe.
