About Us

akt is the UK’s national LGBTQ+ youth homelessness charity. Founded in 1989, we operate service centres in London, Manchester and Newcastle and provide support across the UK through our Digital Service. Last year, akt worked with over 1150 vulnerable young people. We exist because of a simple but powerful thought that no young person should have to choose between a safe home and being who they are. Today, young LGBTQ+ people are still at an increased risk of homelessness and are twice as likely to end up hidden homeless than their peers. akt provides support and routes to safe homes so that young people can thrive.

Job Summary

Please note this is a part time fixed term position of approximately 6 months duration working between 21 and 28 hours per week. The salary is £19,366.80 and £25,822.40 per year (pro rata hours worked) based on a full time equivalent of £32,278. There is one vacancy that can be done from any akt location (Manchester, London, Newcastle or Bristol).

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised and professional individual to join our team to support our work with young LGBTQ+ people facing homelessness. The role primarily involves quantitative data collection, analysis and reporting to inform akt’s strategic direction and demonstrate our impact externally. You will need excellent analysis and communications skills, be highly organised and have the ability to present data in a format that is understandable, clear and can be utilised in a range of areas.
