We are seeking a highly skilled Implementation Consultant to join our team and play a pivotal role in onboarding clients to Canoe Intelligence, a cutting-edge technology designed to streamline workflows related to Alternative Investments. In this client-facing role, you will ensure successful implementation and adoption of the Canoe Connect product by engaging with all levels of clients including enterprise clients, optimizing their use of the platform, and guiding them through setup, configuration, and best practices. You will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for both internal tools and client needs, helping to drive efficiency and maximize value realization for clients.
What You’ll Do
- Client Consultation & Onboarding: Engage with clients, particularly enterprise-level clients, to understand their specific needs and business processes related to Connect, which is Canoe’s document collection & connectivity layer. Advise on best practices for configuring the platform to align with their operational goals and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Implementation & Configuration: Lead the setup and configuration of the Connect product, ensuring the solution meets client requirements and provides operational efficiencies. Guide clients through upstream data connectivity, and initial training to optimize their workflows.
- Technical Expertise & Support: Serve as an SME on Canoe Connect and related tools like Snowflake, JIRA, Excel, Canoe Platform, Dashboards, and Salesforce. Troubleshoot technical issues, help clients navigate integrations, and ensure a smooth execution of the setup.
- Process Improvement & Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process optimization during onboarding and platform configuration. Propose enhancements to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce friction for clients. Actively contribute to internal teams to refine implementation methodologies and tools for future client success.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple client implementations, tracking progress and adjusting project tasks with primary project manager as necessary to meet deadlines and deliverables. Conduct regular project health checks and communicate updates to primary project managers and stakeholders.
- Client Relationship & Communication: Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their fund managers (including Investor Relations functions), ensuring their needs are met and they receive maximum value from the platform.
- Continuous Improvement & Feedback: Gather feedback from clients post-implementation to measure satisfaction and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with internal teams to refine implementation processes and enhance the overall client experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 3+ years in a client-facing implementation or consulting role, ideally within a SaaS or technology-driven environment. Proven experience working with enterprise-level clients and navigating large-scale implementations. Experience working with Investor Relations (IR) teams in the alternative investments sector. Proficient in configuring and integrating tools like Salesforce, JIRA, Excel and Snowflake with SaaS platforms. Strong understanding of data management, analytics, and platform integration.
- Project Management: Experience in managing projects from start to finish. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools such as Asana.
- Problem-Solving & Process Improvement: Ability to identify inefficiencies and propose actionable solutions that improve outcomes for both clients and the organization.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams such as Sales, Product, Development, and Customer Success to ensure alignment on client goals.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Preferred Skills: Familiarity with authorization workflows and integrating document management systems (e.g., DocuSign, other eSignature platforms). Prior experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on financial data workflows or related technologies.
