Albert Cottage is a beautiful 10 bedroomed hotel with two restaurants and bars and set in 3 acres of stunning grounds.

Always stylish and elegant and has a lively and vibrant atmosphere and our customer service is second to none.

We host exclusive events, private parties, weddings, functions, lunches, afternoon teas and dinner, along with an inviting bar for a casual comfortable drink.

Join Our Team

We are looking to recruit an experienced and professional Restaurant & Bar Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our restaurant and bar while playing a key role in delivering exceptional functions, weddings, and exclusive events.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives on creating memorable guest experiences and leading a team to deliver outstanding service in a unique and welcoming venue.

This is a very varied role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar.
  • Oversee the smooth delivery of weddings, private functions, and exclusive-use events.
  • As part of the Management Team contribute to the development of the business for food, drink and events.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and develop front-of-house staff.
  • Work closely with the kitchen, event staff and management to ensure seamless service.
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and customer care.
  • Support the planning and execution of special events and seasonal promotions.

About You

You'll have

  • Previous experience managing a restaurant, bar, hotel, or events venue.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Experience coordinating functions, weddings, or exclusive-use events.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of stock control, licensing, and food safety standards.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
