Location: London | Coverage: Pan-European Sponsor-Backed Companies
The Firm
Our client is a fast-scaling execution and advisory platform serving private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies across Europe. Positioned at the convergence of financial transformation, commercial acceleration, and value realization, the firm supports investors and management teams in navigating high-impact moments throughout the investment lifecycle—from onboarding and operational build-out to performance enhancement and exit readiness.
With a newly established London office, the European team operates as an agile, senior-led unit with deep transactional and operational credentials. The platform combines analytical precision with executional depth, offering hands-on support across FP&A, board reporting, commercial analytics, and finance function optimisation.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Vice President to join the firm’s Strategic Finance team in London, with responsibility for delivering sponsor-side support across a wide range of portfolio mandates. The role spans financial diagnostics, planning, and performance management—driving operational visibility and strategic decision-making in complex, growth-oriented environments.
This is a high-impact, execution-led position for a commercially minded finance professional with a strong grounding in sponsor-backed businesses. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating across multiple workstreams, jurisdictions, and stakeholder groups—translating data into insight, strategy into action, and plans into measurable outcomes.

- Lead project workstreams across budgeting, forecasting, KPI architecture, and board-level reporting—ensuring alignment with sponsor requirements and value creation plans.
- Act as day-to-day lead with CFOs and investment teams, balancing technical delivery with strategic engagement.
Advanced Financial Modelling & Commercial Insight
- Build and sensitise dynamic models to support scenario planning, pricing strategies, capital allocation, and cost efficiency.
- Extract and synthesise performance data into actionable insight, supporting operational and strategic decision-making.
Stakeholder Reporting & Decision Support
- Develop and deliver tailored dashboards, performance packs, and investment committee materials for sponsors, boards, and C-suites.
- Implement reporting structures that enhance financial visibility and drive sponsor confidence.
Finance Function Transformation
- Conduct targeted assessments of finance functions, covering systems, reporting processes, and organisational design.
- Identify gaps and improvement areas in data integrity, tooling, resourcing, and scalability.
Transaction Execution Support
- Support carve-outs, bolt-ons, integrations, and exit processes—translating transaction strategy into operational execution.
- Provide financial infrastructure support pre- and post-deal, in collaboration with sponsors and management.
Mentorship & Platform Development
- Mentor junior colleagues on engagements; contribute to internal capability building, methodology refinement, and knowledge sharing.
Cross-Border Coordination
- Work across multiple European markets, engaging with local teams to tailor implementation in line with regional practices and regulatory norms.

- Track Record: Demonstrated experience in FP&A, commercial analytics, board reporting, or finance transformation within PE contexts.
- Stakeholder Maturity: Able to interface confidently with CFOs, PE investors, and senior operating executives.
- Execution Style: Hands-on, analytical, and outcome-oriented; thrives under time pressure and ambiguity.
