The Platform

Our client is a global information services and data analytics group, operating at scale across multiple mission-critical verticals. With a diversified revenue base exceeding billion EUR range, the company combines proprietary data, SaaS workflows, and deep domain expertise to support decision-making across corporates, institutions, and the investment community. As part of an ambitious inorganic strategy, the group continues to pursue targeted acquisitions and structured investments to expand capability, market reach, and technological edge. Underpinning its success is an ambitious growth agenda—anchored in disciplined capital deployment and a differentiated ability to execute strategic acquisitions across complex, high-barrier verticals.

The Mandate

As Director within the Group M&A and Corporate Development team, you will partner directly with the Group CEO, CFO, and divisional P&L leaders to architect and execute the firm’s global inorganic growth strategy. You will lead multiple transactions in parallel—ranging from bolt-ons and carve-outs to platform acquisitions and structured investments—while actively shaping integration planning and long-term value capture. This is a board-visible, high-responsibility role for an M&A leader capable of owning the full deal lifecycle and operating with conviction in a high-calibre, intellectually demanding environment.

Key Deliverables

  • End-to-End Deal Execution
Drive the full M&A process—from origination and opportunity qualification to negotiation, diligence leadership, structuring, and execution. Manage multiple concurrent transactions across geographies and business lines.
  • Investment Modelling & Strategic Valuation
Build detailed financial models; analyse standalone and pro forma impact; assess revenue, cost, and technology synergies. Present investment cases to executive leadership and the board.
  • Cross-Functional Deal Leadership
Serve as programme lead across product, finance, legal, tax, HR, and integration workstreams. Set pace and discipline across timelines, reporting, and governance checkpoints.
  • Thematic Origination & Pipeline Management
Proactively surface actionable opportunities through market scanning, white-space mapping, and cultivation of external relationships (bankers, funds, entrepreneurs, advisors).
  • Post-Deal Governance & Integration Readiness
Define and deploy integration frameworks aligned to investment theses and shareholder value expectations. Champion consistency in deal delivery and integration playbooks.

Candidate Profile

  • Execution Pedigree
7+ years in investment banking, strategy consulting, private equity, or in-house M&A, with a demonstrable record of full-cycle deal execution (ideally in information services, data, SaaS, or B2B tech environments).
  • Strategic and Financial Acumen
Advanced analytical toolkit across valuation, synergy assessment, capital deployment, and strategic fit. Capable of moving fluidly between detail and board-level narrative.
  • Leadership & Influence
Operates with maturity and authority in high-stakes discussions. Track record of steering cross-functional teams and aligning diverse stakeholders under compressed timelines.
  • Global Mindset & Commercial Judgement
Experience with international dealmaking and stakeholder landscapes; confident navigating differing regulatory, cultural, and market environments.
  • Communication Excellence
Sharp, concise, and persuasive—able to distill complexity into executive-ready insight.

What’s on Offer

  • High-impact position at the centre of group-level strategic decision-making.
  • Platform to drive meaningful inorganic value creation across a globally recognised brand.
  • Access to C-level sponsorship, complex deal exposure, and a pathway to broader leadership.
  • Competitive package including fixed compensation, variable incentives, and long-term alignment mechanisms.

This role is tailored for a commercially sharp, execution-credible professional with the ambition to shape the future of a global platform through M&A and strategic capital deployment.
