The Opportunity
The Associate will join the Managing Director’s team, leading origination and execution of investments across Europe. The platform is actively deploying capital into high-conviction themes—energy transition, sustainable transport, digital infrastructure, and sustainable utilities—sectors driving structural growth and decarbonisation. This is a lean, high-calibre team where the Associate will take immediate responsibility across execution, diligence, and portfolio value creation, working shoulder-to-shoulder with senior leadership and investment committees.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of workstreams across the full investment lifecycle—from origination and structuring to execution, portfolio management, and exit.
- Build, refine, and pressure-test complex financial models; deliver rigorous valuation and scenario analyses to support high-stakes investment decisions.
- Lead diligence processes across technical, financial, legal, regulatory, and commercial aspects, coordinating with senior stakeholders and top-tier advisors.
- Draft clear, investor-grade investment memoranda and present to investment committees and co-investment partners with precision and conviction.
- Drive portfolio monitoring, identifying key performance drivers, operational risks, and value creation opportunities; support management teams on strategic initiatives.
- Cultivate a strong network of advisors, industry experts, and potential co-investors to support sourcing, execution, and portfolio development.
Candidate Profile
- 2–4 years of front-line experience in investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure advisory, with proven exposure to energy, utilities, transport, digital, or broader infrastructure assets.
- Exceptional analytical and technical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to design and interpret advanced financial models under tight deadlines.
- Hands-on transaction execution experience—comfortable managing diligence processes, structuring deals, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to craft concise, persuasive materials for senior leadership and external investors.
- Commercially astute, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and the resilience to thrive in a lean, high-performing team.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages a strong advantage.
