The Opportunity:

As Senior People & Culture Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the teammate experience across the full employment lifecycle. You will be the go-to expert for all UK-based venue and corporate team HR matters, partnering closely with stakeholders to drive engagement, embed culture and deliver people practices that align with the brand’s values and growth goals. This is a hands-on, strategic and operational role ideal for someone with a passion for building high-performing teams and delivering exceptional employee experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
    • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for business-critical roles
    • Support hiring managers to build strong candidate pipelines aligned to team values
    • Provide coaching, tools and insights to improve hiring quality and achieve KPIs
  • Onboarding & Offboarding
    • Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes that empower and engage
    • Collaborate with People Operations to maintain compliance and consistency
    • Analyse exit data to identify trends and improve retention
  • Culture & Engagement
    • Implement engagement initiatives that foster an inclusive and values-driven culture
    • Monitor turnover trends and partner with leaders to drive retention
    • Champion the service profit chain to enhance team and guest experience
  • Learning & Development
    • Identify learning needs and partner with the L&D team to deliver targeted training
    • Support career pathways and succession planning through talent reviews
    • Lead the performance review cycle, enabling leaders to give meaningful feedback
  • Employee Relations & Compliance
    • Provide expert guidance on ER issues including grievances and investigations
    • Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and internal policies
    • Coach leaders on effective people practices that support team wellbeing
  • Systems & Processes
    • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure data protection standards are met
    • Keep policies and toolkits up to date and relevant to business needs
    • Communicate key HR reports and KPIs across stakeholder groups
  • Projects & Collaboration
    • Lead cross-functional projects to enhance the teammate experience
    • Work with global People & Culture experts to roll out new initiatives

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner
  • Deep understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience in hospitality, leisure or retail industries preferred
  • Strong emotional intelligence with a passion for people and culture
  • Process-driven mindset with excellent organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with proven stakeholder management experience
  • Willingness to travel and work flexibly based on business needs
