If you’re an engineer who thrives on building robust, scalable infrastructure from the ground up, and want to play a key role in scaling a high-growth AI platform used by global financial institutions, this is a standout opportunity.
About the Company
We’re partnered with a venture-backed AI scale-up building an enterprise-grade platform that transforms complex, manual workflows into fully automated, AI-driven systems. Their product is already being used by major financial institutions to produce and validate client-ready outputs at scale. Following a significant Series A raise (~$75M) backed by top-tier global investors, the business is now entering a critical growth phase and expanding its engineering team.
The Role
As a Platform Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the company’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and production-ready as the platform grows. This is a hands-on role where you’ll sit at the heart of engineering, driving:
- DevOps strategy
- Observability and reliability
- Security and compliance readiness
You’ll work closely with founders and engineering teams to enable rapid product delivery without compromising performance or governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure to support rapid scaling
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines across backend, frontend, and data services
- Implement observability frameworks (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting)
- Prepare infrastructure for SOC 2 / ISO 27001 audits
- Drive high availability and reliability across systems
- Monitor and optimise cloud costs without sacrificing performance
- Act as a key advocate for operational excellence and engineering standards
Tech Environment
- Cloud: Azure (AWS also beneficial)
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (AKS)
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions
- Scripting: Python / Bash
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL
- Observability: Logging, metrics, tracing frameworks
What They’re Looking For
- 4–7 years’ experience in platform / DevOps / infrastructure engineering
- Strong experience owning infrastructure end-to-end (design → production)
- Hands-on experience in cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
- Strong understanding of networking (VPCs, DNS, load balancers, VPNs)
- Security best practices and secrets management
- Observability and monitoring systems
- Experience supporting or preparing for SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks
- Background in high-growth, startup, or scaling environments is highly beneficial
What to Expect
This is a high-growth, high-impact environment: fast-paced, evolving priorities, high ownership and autonomy, close collaboration with founders, and the opportunity to shape infrastructure at scale. If you’re at a stage where you want to make a defining impact in a high-growth AI business, this is a rare opportunity to do so.
