A fast-growing AI data platform company is hiring backend engineers to build the core technology that helps AI teams work with massive, complex datasets. The problems are hands-on and performance-critical: custom databases, huge searches, streaming ingestion, and re-synchronising and preprocessing training data.
They're especially interested in engineers from HFT or quantitative trading who have worked on platform or core engineering teams. The opportunity is to take that engineering experience into a fast-moving field, with plenty to build and room to shape the platform.
The work
- Build foundational parts of the core data platform where performance matters
- Work on custom database technology and large-scale search
- Solve challenges in re-synchronising and preprocessing training data
- Partner with ML researchers to build the infrastructure their work needs
You could be a fit if you
- Have experience in HFT or quantitative trading on a platform or core engineering team
- Have strong computer science fundamentals and distributed systems experience
- Are strong in Python and fluent in Rust or C++
- Have worked with large databases, data streams or other data-heavy systems
- Care about performance and enjoy building systems that make a measurable difference
