Your main accountabilities will be to:
- Efficiently operate mechanical handling equipment to the required standards following training.
- Support achievement of the required product throughput to meet production plans.
- Carry out all duties in line with food legislation, BRC and customer food safety requirements.
- Raise mechanical handling equipment inefficiencies and faults with the relevant Managers or department.
- Maintain all machinery to a level commensurate with their role.
- Assist with providing materials for product changeovers to the required standards and timescales.
- Maintain all stores in a clean and hygienic manner, including any ice or snow in the cold store.
- Accurate completion of all documentation required for out loads to ensure product is traceable and quality standards have been maintained.
- Take part if required in Daily reviews at performance boards and ownership of efficiency issues.
- Identification of sub-standard stock is met at all times.
- Ensure that all required stock is available for the production team at the correct quantity at the correct time.
Hours: Friday to Monday nights 7pm to 7am - 45 hours per week.
£14.99 per hour.
Essential Qualifications:
- Mechanical handling equipment qualifications (FLT, ride on barrows, pedestrian pallet trucks).
- Numeracy and literacy skills.
- Basic IT Skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
