Overview
Production Operative (Packer) – Backshift
This role is based at our potato packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire. It is physically demanding and may require lifting and stacking of trays and boxes up to 25 kg. General other factory duties will also be required.
Shift & Hours
Sunday to Thursday – fixed shift, 18:00hrs to 02:15hrs
Base pay
Salary: £12.21 per hour (plus 50p per hour backshift premium)
Responsibilities
- Accurately pack finished potato products into containers, ensuring that all products meet quality and weight specifications
- Inspect products for any defects or quality issues, reporting any concerns to the supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area, following all health and safety protocols
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines
Requirements
- Previous experience in production or packing roles is advantageous, particularly in the food industry
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
- Physical fitness is required, as the role may involve lifting and standing for extended periods
