In the role of Shift Engineer, you will play a crucial part in ensuring optimal performance of our processing and packing machinery. Your expertise will be essential in minimizing equipment downtime and maintaining a safe working environment. This position offers the right candidate an opportunity to contribute to our high standards of quality and efficiency in production.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues as they arise, minimizing downtime production.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery as required.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and improvement tracking.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Work closely with the production team to understand equipment needs and ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Shift Pattern: 7/14 - rotating days and nights
Qualifications:- Relevant engineering qualifications or a time-served apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering.
