Albert Bartlett, a leading name in the UK potato industry known for its commitment to quality and innovation, is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in the role of New Product Development (NPD). This role is pivotal in driving the creation and launch of innovative potato products that meet consumer needs and market trends.

As a member of our NPD team, you will work closely with cross-functional departments including Marketing, Technical, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure successful product development from concept through to commercialization. Your role will involve research, formulation, testing, and project management to deliver high-quality products that align with our brand values and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage new product development projects ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with technical and production teams to develop product formulations and processes.
  • Coordinate sensory evaluations, shelf-life testing, and regulatory compliance checks.
  • Prepare technical documentation and presentations to support product launches.
  • Support commercial teams with product knowledge and training for successful market introduction.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in new product development within the food manufacturing sector, preferably in frozen or processed produce.
  • Strong understanding of food science, product formulation, and production processes.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical thinking with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Degree or relevant qualification in food science, nutrition, or related discipline is desirable.
