We are looking for a skilled and proactive Multiskilled Engineer to join our dynamic team on a 4 On 4 Off shift pattern, covering both days and nights.
In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, performing both electrical and mechanical maintenance on a variety of equipment. Your expertise will help us maintain optimal efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure our production facilities operate at the highest standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipment, including both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and upgrades to existing equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation for all engineering activities.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices at all times.
- Participate in training initiatives to develop skills and knowledge of new technologies and processes.
Hourly rate: £21.68/hour plus overtime rates and shift allowance
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a multiskilled engineer, ideally in a food production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with PLCs and automation systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
