Job Description
Location: Albert Bartlett & Sons, 251 Stirling Road
The Engineering Managers role will be to develop their team, processes, procedures and systems to give a world class engineering service. Delivering a service that promotes a H&S culture & delivering a maintenance service that provides an efficient manufacturing environment
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop a focussed maintenance culture across the Chilled manufacturing function on site, by delivering:
- A detailed PPM system that includes
- Time Based Maintenance
- FMEA
- Risk Based Maintenance
- Condition Based Maintenance
- Predictive Maintenance
Deliver a World Class Health & Safety Culture By
- Understanding statutory obligations and ensuring they are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Ensuring there is a risk based culture to the tasks undertaken
- Culture change leading to a safety first mindset
- Developing departmental systems that promote H&S and deliver workable H&S processes
- Deliver The Financial Controls To
- Ensure stores stocks are managed via a risk based assessment
- Deliver departmental spending to agreed budgets
- Promote engineering incentives that contribute to delivering savings within the business
- Ensure we buy at best price or best value
Develop People to
- Ensure we have the correct shift patterns that minimise cost but deliver maximum efficiency
- Develop a costed departmental training matrix that delivers H&S requirements, business needs, personal development and departmental contribution
- Set up and deliver structured communications through 1 to 1’s, departmental meetings
- Monitor the engineering team to ensure they are delivering the principles you set out to deliver
- Ensure standards are department wide and not just the Team Leader standards
- Do things right even when no one is there
Improve Departmental Development By
- Setting up Hi 5’s Across the department through the Team Leaders reviewing on a regular basis
- Communicating across all functions within the business
- Becoming a key member of the Chilled manufacturing team on site
- Moving to a 1 team culture across Chilled
