We want Albert Bartlett to be a world famous household brand, renowned for quality and expertise in own label and branded potatoes and potato products. We aim to be an innovative and improving company that exceeds our customers’ expectations while operating in an environmentally responsible and sustainable way. We are currently recruiting for Multi-Skilled Engineers to join our team. We have vacancies at our Fresh potato packing site, as well as at our new Chilled processed goods site, both located in Boston, Lincolnshire.

Shift & Hours of work: 4 days on, 4 days off - rolling shift, working 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs

Salary: Competitive

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems across the manufacturing plant.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment faults efficiently to minimize production downtime.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and refurbishment of new and existing machinery.
  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Relevant engineering qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled engineering disciplines.
  • Proven experience working as a multi-skilled engineer, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities in both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, automation, and control systems is advantageous.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
