We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team.
Shift & Hours of work: Monday to Friday - Fixed Shift, working 08:00hrs to 16:30hrs.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain effective health, safety, and environmental management systems in line with current legislation and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Provide advice, guidance, and training to employees and management to promote safe working practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and lead actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and implement environmental initiatives to minimize the company's environmental impact.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports related to HSE activities.
- Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement within the organisation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Health, Safety, and Environment role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments, audits, and investigations effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and advise all levels of staff and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with health and safety management systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and promoting a positive health and safety culture.
