At Albert Bartlett, a leading UK potato supplier, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and excellence since 1948. We are currently looking for a dedicated Wash Plant Operator to join our team on backshifts, including every third Saturday. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our potato preparation process in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
As a Wash Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining washing equipment, ensuring that all products meet our high standards for cleanliness and quality before they enter production. Your attention to detail and operational skills will be essential to our success.
Responsibilities- Operate and oversee washing machinery and equipment accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure consistent quality by performing routine checks on cleaned potatoes.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
- Document and report production metrics and any machinery issues to your supervisor.
- Practice health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and productivity.
Sunday, Monday to Thursday, & every 3rd Saturday
£12.29 p/hr +50p hr shift allowance
- Prior experience in a production or manufacturing role is preferred, particularly within the food industry.
- Attention to detail and strong commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication skills to work with supervisors and team members.
- Flexibility to work backshifts and every third Saturday as required.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a food production environment.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to learning new tasks and processes.
