The Technical Compliance Manager at Albert Bartlett plays a critical role in ensuring that the company's products adhere to safety and quality standards. This position involves the management and continuous improvement of technical compliance systems related to both branded and retailer own brand products. The Technical Compliance Manager will work closely with operations and quality assurance teams, fostering a culture of quality and compliance across all processes.
The role requires the development of comprehensive documentation and training to align with food safety standards, including HACCP and BRC requirements. The Technical Compliance Manager will be responsible for conducting audits, responding to non-conformance issues, and providing detailed reports to senior management on compliance status and improvement initiatives. In this dynamic role, you will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvements and ensure successful outcomes in customer audits.

Responsibilities
- Develop, through continuous improvement, food safety and production documentation, procedures and policies to meet Albert Bartlett due diligence systems.
- Manage ERP/NAV/BOM systems for Technical; Coding Management and other Technical Software Management systems.
- Ensure Quality Team carry out regular traceability checks and follow correct procedures if any issues occur.
- In conjunction with the Technical Manager, update the HACCP/TACCP/VACCP plans as required and update plans where required.
- Prepare the company food safety reports.
- Prepare for and lead/assist any announced/unannounced audits. Ensure all audit action points are communicated out and working with peers to develop robust corrective actions, support their implementation timescale and signed off.
- Manage all aspects of third party audits where required.
- Respond and action all email alerts ensuring all recommendations are closed off within an agreed timescale.
- Prepare and maintain any in-house schedules to support.
- Schedule internal audits for BRC, Gap assessments on customer policies. Building and perimeter fabric audits.
- Write check lists for supporting internal audits ensuring they cover customer requirements.
- Provide mentoring and coaching support and assistance where required to Internal Audit Team and to ensure corrective actions are closed out effectively.
- Ensure everyone has a clear understanding of relevant customer COPs and policies.
- Ensure we are up-to-date with all retailers COPs and adhere to them.
- Assess staff technical and safety training requirements and manage programme; conduct regular and annual reviews of technical and food safety training; make recommendations for training and implement plans and reviews.
