We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Shunter Driver to join our logistics team.
As a Shunter Driver, you will be vital in ensuring the efficient movement of vehicles within our yard and production areas. Your role will contribute to maintaining workflow and productivity, ensuring that our production teams can operate seamlessly. Key Responsibilities- Safely maneuver and park trailers and trucks within our yard, maintaining organization and efficiency.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth loading and unloading operations.
- Perform daily inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any maintenance issues to management.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
- Assist with other duties in the yard as required, contributing to team objectives.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse and logistics teams to meet operational needs.
- Valid HGV driving license (Class 1 or Class 2) is required.
- Proven experience as a shunter driver or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts as necessary.
Hourly rate: £16.03/hour plus shift allowance. Shifts available including Days, Nights.
