This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys operating as a trusted advisor, influencing stakeholders, driving employee engagement and delivering pragmatic people solutions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working closely with managers across the business, you'll play a key role in supporting employee relations, talent acquisition, organisational development and HR projects while helping to create a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior HR Advisor, you will:

Employee Relations & Case Management

• Lead and manage complex employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability matters.
• Provide expert HR advice and coaching to managers to ensure fair, consistent and legally compliant decision-making.
• Support formal hearings, investigations, appeals and consultation processes.

Recruitment & Talent Management

• Lead recruitment campaigns from workforce planning through to onboarding.
• Partner with managers to attract, engage and retain top talent.
• Advise on talent acquisition strategies, succession planning and workforce development.
• Support employer branding and candidate experience initiatives.

HR Operations & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with employment law, HR policies and best practice.
• Manage probation reviews, exit interviews and organisational change processes.
• Maintain accurate HR records and support HR reporting requirements.
• Review and update HR policies and procedures in line with legislative changes.

People Development & Engagement

• Drive employee engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives.
• Analyse HR metrics including turnover, absence and employee engagement trends.
• Support learning and development activities across the business.
• Champion a positive, inclusive and values-driven culture.

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Projects

• Contribute to HR improvement projects and organisational change programmes.
• Represent HR at Tier 2 and strategic management meetings.
• Support organisational design, job evaluation and structure reviews.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from experienced HR professionals who can demonstrate:

• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above preferred)
• Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or equivalent role
• Strong employee relations and case management expertise
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation
• Experience supporting recruitment, talent management and workforce planning
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production or industrial environments would be advantageous
• A proactive, resilient and solutions-focused approach

Working Hours:

This role is to primarily support our Backshift and Weekend operations. You will be contracted to work 20 per week, as follows:

Mon 3pm-8pm

Tue 6pm-11pm

Wed 6pm-11pm

Thu 6pm-11pm

Requirements

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards it
• Proven experience in an HR advisory role, with a strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
• Experience in managing complex employee relations and knowledge of HR policies and procedures
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Proficient in HR software applications and Microsoft Office Suite
