We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to join our team as an Operations Administrator / Operations Assistant. This role is ideal for someone with a good understanding of general office environments and strong attention to detail. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for both experienced administrators and those starting their career in operations.
Responsibilities
- Customer Order Processing
- Retrieve and process customer orders accurately
- Handle internet order submissions
- Ensure all paperwork and load plans are completed correctly
- Retrieve daily proof of deliveries (PODs)
- Provide customers with required updates and information
- Resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently
- Liaison with Haulage & Courier Contractors
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with hauliers and couriers
- Manage and resolve contractor issues as they arise at the depot
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all related paperwork
- Provide support to the Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager as required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment
- Competent computer user (Word, Excel, internet applications)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong record-keeping and organisational skills
- Good verbal and written communication abilities
- Problem-solving skills and confidence in handling challenges
- Ability to collaborate well with colleagues
- A tidy, organised, and methodical approach to work
Qualifications

- Educated to a good standard, including Maths and English
