About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Hygiene Operator to join our Chilled Production team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety are maintained throughout the production facility.
Working as part of the Hygiene team, you will be responsible for cleaning production equipment, machinery and factory areas to ensure compliance with food safety, quality and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise production lines, machinery, equipment and factory areas to company standards.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment safely to facilitate effective cleaning.
- Follow cleaning schedules, procedures and work instructions.
- Complete all hygiene and cleaning records accurately.
- Adhere to colour coding requirements for cleaning equipment.
- Ensure chemicals are used safely and in accordance with COSHH guidelines.
- Maintain hygiene stores and cleaning equipment in a clean and organised condition.
- Identify and report any equipment defects, damage or potential contamination risks.
- Work safely at all times and comply with Health & Safety procedures.
- Support production teams in maintaining a clean and compliant working environment.
- Participate in hygiene audits and continuous improvement activities as required.
Requirements

- Good understanding of the importance of food safety and hygiene.
- Previous experience working in a food manufacturing or production environment.
