Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site and off-site role based in Martock for a Labourer/ Trainee Sandblaster. The role involves preparing surfaces by masking, cleaning, and setting up work areas, cleaning down during and after works. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading materials, setting up and maintaining blasting equipment, following directions of senior sandblasters on site, and ensuring work meets specification and finish standards. The role will also involve assisting with mobile site work, supporting senior team members.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate sandblasting and related blasting equipment, including compressors, hoses, and nozzles.
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices, including use of PPE, safe lifting, working at height, and adherence to company safety procedures.
- Good practical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to carry out basic equipment checks, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting under guidance.
- Attention to detail in surface preparation and finishing, with a commitment to producing quality results.
