The role

To work under the direct instruction of teaching and senior staff to support pupils’ access to learning and provide general classroom support. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning, personal development and wellbeing, including supporting pupils with SEND to fully access the educational opportunities available to them.

  • Someone with experience of working with children, ideally within the EYFS and/or Key Stage 1

  • Someone who can support children both in class and through small group or one-to-one interventions
  • A proactive and flexible individual who is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school
  • Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Good behaviour management skills and the ability to help create a calm, safe and engaging learning environment
  • A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and equality of opportunity for all children
  • Someone who is reflective, open to feedback and motivated to continue developing their practice
  • Confidence in using ICT to support learning and classroom organisation
