Performs order fulfillment and delivery activities. Uses mobile computer technology to perform Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) counting. Prints, fills, sorts, stages, and deliver inventory material. Sorts and deliveries of non-inventory material. Receives in PO and non-PO packages. Capable of performing similar job functions at the 43 New Scotland Ave Albany NY campus, and SCC 25 Hackett Blvd Albany NY. May be periodically assigned and rotated between campuses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes but isn’t limited to the following:
- Inventory supply counting – using mobile computer technology, performs periodic inventory of assigned items in Stores. Organizes and counts supplies in stock unit of measure. Enter data into mobile computer. Returns and secures mobile computer after use.
- Inventory order processing – performs keyboard computer commands to build computerized pick tickets and packing slips. Prints pick tickets and packing slips. Performs keyboard commands to acknowledge and bill supply orders to customer cost centers. Performs basic trouble shooting of printers, including refilling paper.
- Inventory order fulfillment – using computerized pick tickets, retrieves stored items from storage locations and fulfills customer orders. May operate manual, powered, and computerized equipment during order fulfillment process. Accurate stages picked supplies for shipment to customers with supplies coming from FB-dock or Warehouse. Completes all required paperwork, attaches packing slip to fulfilled order. Repeats process for next order.
- Material delivery – using either mobile computer technology or paper documents, performs final delivery of all items processed through on‑campus Distribution area merged with Fb-dock and Warehouse orders. May operate manual or powered equipment during this process. Depending upon day of the week and/or location, you may deliver and physically put away material while rotating materiel dates. Obtains final signature of receipt from customer on Purchase Orders (POs). Completes all required paperwork and returns same to Distribution for final processing.
- Radioactive package delivery – as assigned, performs radioactive package delivery to Hot Lab location per AMC Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policy.
- Restocks linen storage – assists contracted laundry vendor in unloading clean linen supply truck. Pushes hamper carts of clean, packaged linen into Linen Room. Rotates stock and stores linen in correct location. Break down any mixed linen bins and places linen onto the shelf. Maintains a neat, organized linen room.
- Performs Ad-Hoc Deliveries – uses mobile computer technology to perform Ad-Hoc deliveries, capturing both the customer signature and Building/Room Number of each delivery. Brings to management any issues when end users office location does not match Ad-Hoc delivery location.
- Restocks Inventory Site storage – as assigned, performs physical restocking of shelf storage locations in various Inventory Sites including AMH Storeroom, Linen, and/ Distribution Center. Empties case and restocks storage shelves with smaller supply units. Break down boxes for recycling. Maintains a clean, neat storage area always.
- Performs Mail Room activities – unbundles, sorts, and processes inbound US Postal Service (USPS) mail and internal mail into the correct mail slot. Performs internal mail runs deliveries by banding together similar mail stops by Building location. Follows USPS procedures for outbound mail processing.
- Able to work weekends.
- Performs ALL other duties or responsibilities within Supply Chain as directed by management.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum requirement: High school graduate or GED.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience in a service position involving supply chain, shipping and receiving.
- Demonstrated basic level competency with Microsoft Windows.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop win-win relationships across various levels of Center Staff.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
- Excellent people/ customer service orientation skills.
- Innate curiosity to learn and understand relationships.
- Knowledge of various Materials Management software tools.

The employee is regularly required to work on their feet for an 8-hour shift, and occasionally need to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must occasionally push a cart weighing up to 400 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus on objects.
Depending on assignment, the employee may be required to learn and operate electrically powered forklift and/or pallet lift movement equipment.

Most of his/her time, the employee will be working in supply storage areas processing orders or inbound packages. The noise level may be moderate. Such areas have variable environmental conditions including dust, noise, chemicals, hazardous materials, powered/motorized lift and movement equipment, and pinch hazards. Room temperatures may vary widely based on the season.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
During other times, the employee will interact with customers in a healthcare campus environment. Such areas have variable environmental conditions including noise, hallway traffic, chemicals, biohazards, and crowds. Room temperatures will be moderate.
At other times, the employee will spend a small part of his/her time working in an office environment, interacting with basic office tools including computers, phones, etc. The noise level is usually moderate.
