Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains and repairs all functions of electrical power apparatus, controls, electrical systems, and equipment throughout the Albany Medical Center.
  • Checks apparatus for safety hazards.
  • Installs and maintains nurse call systems, signaling systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs various types of commercial, industrial, and residential appliances and equipment.
  • Assists other tradespeople to complete projects as required.
  • Assists in snow removal services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Five years’ experience as a commercial electrician or controls technology.
  • Excellent working knowledge of National Electrical Code, NFPA healthcare codes, and NFPA life safety codes.
