Responsibilities
- Installs, maintains and repairs all functions of electrical power apparatus, controls, electrical systems, and equipment throughout the Albany Medical Center.
- Checks apparatus for safety hazards.
- Installs and maintains nurse call systems, signaling systems, and fire alarm systems.
- Installs, maintains, and repairs various types of commercial, industrial, and residential appliances and equipment.
- Assists other tradespeople to complete projects as required.
- Assists in snow removal services.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
- Five years’ experience as a commercial electrician or controls technology.
- Excellent working knowledge of National Electrical Code, NFPA healthcare codes, and NFPA life safety codes.
