Salary & Shift Details: Per Diem (24 hours per quarter minimum) for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. May work shifts ranging from 8‑hours to 24‑hour in‑house call. Hours and needs may vary depending on the needs of the hospital.
Position Summary: Work under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist (Anesthesia Care Team model) to provide safe and effective anesthesia to patients in either an operating room or a non‑operating room setting. Demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served across the lifespan.
Education, Licensure & Certification Required: Graduate of a council‑approved Certified Nurse Anesthesia Educational program and current certification from the NBCRNA. Current Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York.
Experience: New graduates and experienced providers are encouraged to apply.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work with a multidisciplinary group and demonstrate effective communication skills. Deliver safe anesthesia to patients requiring both surgical and non‑surgical procedures in inpatient and outpatient facilities (including obstetrical, pediatric, neuro, vascular, ENT, general surgery, orthopedic, urology, trauma, and endoscopy).
Work Environment (including hazards): May be subject to infectious waste and chemicals.
